A Bevy of "Bezants" - A Plethora of "Plättchen"

What are these buggers anyway?
Stamped patterned sequin like discs of thin gilded foil in a myriad of designs and sizes. Religious, geometric, flora, fauna, fancy, plain - all can bee seen here.

Germany (and some other countries as well) were crawling in them in the 12th to 14th Centuries. I've taken such an interest in the little thingies I've started a section for them. There are more pieces than these on this site, but here I am only the ones that still have them attached. Alot of pieces have been looted over time.

This category is for things that have them, with or without beads. Pieces that formerly had bezants may be found in other categories.
